All about
Dr. Beth Herko
Dr. Herko’s passion for dentistry started at a young age when she worked as an orthodontist’s assistant during high school. She admired the doctor she worked under and began to dream of a career in public health. Driven and passionate, Dr. Herko followed her dream to New York Medical College, where she received a Master’s in Public Health. In 2006, she went on to graduate from New York University with her DDS.
One of Dr. Herko’s favorite things about practicing dentistry is that no day is the same. She’s always meeting new patients, listening to their stories, and understanding their unique histories and needs. For Dr. Herko, patients are what make the practice, and she loves being able to develop lasting relationships and help them maintain optimum dental health.
When Dr. Herko isn’t in the office, she’s spending time with her two children, husband, and her dog. As a mother herself, Dr. Herko understands the importance of positive dental health for the whole family, and when you’re at New Providence Dentistry, she’ll treat your family as an extension of her own.

Dr. Lisa Malkiewich
Dr. Lisa Malkiewich graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where she received her DDS. After graduating from dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ.
Dr. Malkiewich is committed to listening to each patient’s needs and providing quality dental care to each and every patient. She is a member of the NJDA and AGD.
When not in the office, Dr. Malkiewich enjoys spending time with her family, playing soccer, and going to the beach.

Dr. Steven Reff
Dr. Steven Reff, thanks to his extensive experience, provides the highest level of surgical care with gentleness and compassion. He graduated at the top of his class from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree. He was honored to be inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society by his faculty. He also served as president of the dental school’s Global Dental Organization and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Society study group.
After completing his postgraduate training at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital in cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery, Dr. Reff started working in private practice. In addition, he was offered a prestigious teaching position at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine postgraduate program.
Having a keen interest in implant dentistry, Dr. Reff successfully completed a three-year intensive hands-on training in oral implantology and earned a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Reff is proud to be joining Dr. Herko at her office in New Providence. When he is not helping patients improve their smiles, Dr. Reff loves to go fly-fishing, hiking with his yellow Lab, and relaxing with his family. Dr. Reff is married to Allison, and together they have two children, Mackenzie and Preston.

The 6%
Beth Herko, FAGD
I’m an FAGD dentist! What does that mean for you and your family? FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.

- Complete over 500 credit hours of CE.
- Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses.
- Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.
